AEP's report follows GRI's G3 Reporting Principles. In addition, we report on the performance indicators of the GRI Electric Utility Sector Supplement; this supplemental reporting provides greater insight into our specific industry and the issues we face. The performance indicators from this supplement were not final at the time this report was developed. Therefore, the indicators we are reporting on were still in draft form. AEP was one of two U.S. companies to pilot the indicators in the development of this supplement. We adhere to the GRI principles of materiality, stakeholder inclusiveness, sustainability context, completeness, comparability, accuracy, timeliness, clarity, reliability and boundary setting. Our report is also checked by GRI.
